Since back-lighting on the mountains only lasts a few moments, I would return to this locations each day just before sunset with my paints to capture this fleeting light – A similar process of the French Impressionists. This is why I am excited to report that it was featured in the 2010 American Impressionist Society Show in Nashville where it won an Award of Excellence. The American Impressionist Society strives to exhibit the finest of contemporary American Impressionism. Over a thousand entries for this year’s show!
