My Ode to Wyoming, Opening & Exhibition

My Ode to Wyoming is a solo exhibition by Kathryn Mapes Turner. Personal in nature, this exhibit is a collection of work that demonstrates Turner’s plein air and fine art painting.

In this exhibition, Turner visually expresses her appreciation for her beloved Wyoming. She paints to evoke emotion through the eloquent imagery of her native Jackson Hole. Her pieces are deeply steeped in her intimate relationship with this place she calls Home. A fleeting sunset, a grove of aspens, thundering horse hooves. They begin with moments that captivate her, then filtered through her creative lens, and edited by her artistic sensibility. In Turner’s work, Nature provides moments of inspiration that are distilled to their essential elements. The results are compositions that are crafted with a balance of disciplined refined technique and exploratory spontaneity that makes her work so unique.

The public is invited to celebrate this work at the Artist’s Reception || Thursday, July 20th 5PM to 8 PM. Free & Open to All.

The exhibition runs July 20th to August 5th.

Show images will be posted on this website and at after July 13th.
